Røros er på Unescos verdensarvliste Bergstaden Røros er en av Europas eldste trehusbyer, og en av de få gruvebyene i verden som er oppført på UNESCOS liste over verdens kulturarv. Bykjernen har en sjelden stor og godt bevart trehusbebyggelse, og det ekte og autentiske forsterkes ved at nåtidens moderne mennesker bor og arbeider i de gamle husene.

Det var en opplevelse å gå i gatene på Røros, og se alt dette.

The town of Røros is one of the oldest towns of wooden buildings in Europe, and also one of the few mining towns in the world that has been found worthy of a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The town centre boasts a rare collection of large and well-preserved wooden buildings, made all the more real and authentic by the fact that the people of today live and work in them. It was a wonderful experience to walk in the streets of Røros, and see all this.

Vi gikk til vi fant det typiske "Rørosmotivet". Vi måtte jo bare ha et bilde av det.
